Client
The Bushwick Film Festival was founded in 2007 to not only exhibit, but also discover new independent artists around the world. Since it's inception, the festival has become a cultural institution in one of the most creative neighborhoods in the world.
Project goals
in 2012, the goal was to get behind the scenes and discover how films are made and what goes into the process. The main goal was to be original and eye catching as the posters were to be plastered all over Brooklyn by a BFF street team.
Creative solution
Since it's founding, the camera has been the iconic symbol of the Bushwick Film Festival. This year, we decided to explode a camera to see what makes it function. The idea was to design a camera that seamlessly exposed two views at once: form (exterior of camera) and function (interior of camera). The camera could then be used on marketing materials in one exploding view, or it could wrap around brochures, T-shirts, etc to exhibit both sides of the story.
